“Proverbs” Photography Exhibition, Birr, August 2012

The “Proverbs” exhibition by Birr Photography Group is showing at Craughwell’s Pub, Castle Street, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland during August as part of Birr Vintage Week and Arts Festival 2012.

A “Proverb” is a simple and concise saying popularly known and repeated which expresses a truth based on common sense or practical experience. It contains wisdom, truth, morals or traditional views in a metaphorical and memorable form. For example: a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

The photographers brief was to create an image that was a visual representation of a well known proverb.
